| Winton Historics - May 29 and 30, 2010 | | As Murray Walker would say "It was wet, wet, wet" on the Saturday but the stalwarts were there! Thanks to our intrepid Committee members, there was shelter in the marquee (complete with self administered drainage and mud) and a very tasty lunch. We met up with 13 members from the Sprite Club of South Australia and were able to provide them with some hospitality.
Luckily the rain eased off on Sunday and the contingent from Melbourne arrived in good time to be a part of the display. Once again, the catering options were excellent.
The racing on both days was fast and furious and all Sprites and Midgets acquitted themselves well. Max Pegram (Red Mk. 1) had the added pleasure of his 11 week old grandson being there to gurgle him on.
Thanks to all who attended and a special thank you to those who provided the facilities and the food. | |
| RACV/AOMC Classic Showcase at Flemington 28th February 2010 | | The Club was well represented. The display itself was massive and took nearly an hour to walk around. As it was Concours day for the Triumph and Mercedes Benz Clubs, there was row upon row of the various marques over the years, all gleaming in the newly arrived sunshine. The Healey display was equally impressive, taking out Best Stand of the Day and our very own George Forbes taking out Best Car in Show!
Our thanks to the Healey Club for their invitation to share their space with us – it was a most enjoyable day.
