The AHSDC was originally founded in 1966 by a group of enthusiastic “Spridget”
(i e Sprite / Midget) owners. As the name suggests, the club is orientated towards
driving type activities; however it has an extremely strong social core, which is mainly
the reason why it has survived for such a relatively long period of time.

Another indication of this is the number of non-Spridget owning members who are attracted to the Club simply because of the friendly and relaxed atmosphere that abounds.
