The Club has adopted new competition rules for 2023.
The rules applying to the Driver’s Championship for 2023 are available on the links to the right.
In essence, this is an attempt to re-invigorate driving competition within the Club and is intended to make it both easy and fulfilling to compete. You will not need to risk your Spridget to compete at various levels and yet gain both experience and skill at the wheel. It is also aimed at attracting your children and grandchildren and other interested younger people to join the Club to learn from the “old hands”.
The following events are listed for your participation, at this stage through to May 7, 2023:
22 January Sunday – Sprints/Regularity Phillip Island MSCA
26 February Sunday – Khanacross Bryant Park Gippsland Car Club
11 March Saturday – Motorkhana Avalon MG Car Club
18 March Saturday – Sprint/Regularity Sandown MSCA
25 March Saturday – Motorkhana Metec Kilsyth MGCC
15 April Saturday – Sprints/Regularity Winton MSCA
16 April Sunday – Hill Climb Interclub Round 1 Rob Roy MGCC
7 May Sunday – Sprints/Regularity Sandown MSCA
7 May Sunday – Regularity 6 hour Relay Mallala MSCASA
More events will be notified in due course. It is up to you to select the events in which you will compete for Driver’s Championship points with due regard for the rules applying (ie you must contest a mix of events and only the 6 best results will count towards the Championship). You will have many more opportunities to compete through the rest of the year.
Entry to all of the above events will be via the Motorsport Australia web site. It should be noted that helmets and fire extinguishers will be mandatory for most events as will a MA Speed licence.
